Subject: Power Up Reset Pin
Hi
I am just drawing up a breakout board to use with the KFlop, and am wondering the usage of the Power up Reset pins on JP7, JP4 &JP6.

Thanks
Andrew

Hi Andrew,

As described here:

http://dynomotion.com/Help/SchematicsKFLOP/ConnectorsKFLOP.htm

The Reset# signal is a low going output that will remain low until power comes up and becomes stable for ~ 150ms.  Then it will go high.

If it is useful for your external circuitry you may use it.  Otherwise ignore it.

You may drive it low to force a KFLOP Reset.

Here is the device we use:

    Thanks Tom.

I was assuming that this was what it was, but wasn’t quite sure.
